What we Do

Throughout the week we have events running within the church and we would be delighted to welcome you along. Below is a snapshot of many of the groups that meet both in our church and in our community. Please contact us for more information.

Children and Young people

GNR8 & Revolve

Our Young People groups cater for toddlers up to 16. Everyone is together in the main church for community worship at the beginning and then the young people leave for their groups. A creche is also available.

Youth Group - Thursdays (7-9PM)

Our youth group meets every Thursday at 7PM in the Church Hall. We have a full programme of activities and trips away. We meet during term times and have a team of experienced youth leaders.

Schools

Our Family and Community Pastor Irene Campbell is involved with several schools in the East Kilbride community. 

Home Groups

Home Groups

Our home groups run throughout East Kilbride and are led by members of our church. Information about our various groups are below. If you are interested in joining a small group then please ask any of our home group leaders, stewards, elders or pastors. 

Young Adults @ McGarry House

Our Young Adults small group is for anyone aged between 18 – 39 and meets at Paul and Gillian’s House in Lindsayfield. The group meets on alternate Tuesdays at 7:30PM 

Baird Hill Home Group @ Jo and Frances' House

Hosted by Jo and Frances and led by Irene, it meets on alternate Tuesdays at 7:30PM

Campbell Place Home Group @ Mark and Maria's House

Hosted by Maria and Mark and led by Maria, it meets on alternate Tuesdays at 7:30PM

Winton Park Home Group @ Harry and May's House

Hosted by Harry and May and led by Bill, it meets on alternate Wednesdays at 7:30PM

Winnipeg Drive Home Group @ Bob and Cilla's House

Hosted by Bob and Cilla and Co-ordinated by Anne, it meets on alternate Thursdays at 7:30PM

Fellowship Groups

Men's Events

The men’s fellowship meets throughout the year with a regular programme of breakfasts, dinners, weekends away and social events. These are promoted through the church, our calendar and email lists.

Women's Fellowship

Our women’s fellowship meets each month for a programme of  informative meetings with speakers from far and wide, followed by home baking. All women are very welcome to come along. We meet in the church lounge on the 2nd Monday of every month at 1:45PM

Ladies' Events

Throughout the year we have an open programme for ladies of all ages within the wider community. This can include social events, informative talks and weekends away. These are promoted through the church, our calendar and email lists.

Community Groups

Alpha

Throughout the year we run the Alpha Course. This internationally recognised course provides an exploration of faith in a relaxed environment that includes plenty of time for discussion as well as an excellent dinner.

Food Bank

EK community foodbank is a short term care initiative that runs in partnership with churches throughout East Kilbride.

Food parcels are given out on Sunday at Westwood Baptist church between 2:30PM – 4PM. If you require emergency help please contact 01355 247660 between 9AM – 4PM Monday – Friday

Harvest Store and Community Cafe

Our community cafe runs every Tuesday between 10AM-12PM. It is a great opportunity to grab a cuppa and hot rolls. We also host a discounted fruit and veg store.

Taketime Spiritual Meditation

Take time out of a busy schedule to relax and refocus. This group meets on the third Monday of each month between 11AM-12:15PM.

This group is led by experienced Ignation Meditation facilitators.

Wellness Cafe

The Wellness Cafe is on the first Monday of each month, 10:30AM – 12:30PM. It is run by Healing ek. Come and enjoy coffee, tea and freshly made scones. Massage, prayer, stress relieving meditation and a warm welcome are all provided.

Kerith Counselling Service

Our church partners with Kerith counselling. An East Kilbride service that provides a renowned, professional counselling and support service.
